Since Sha seems to be unable creating a topic themselves... I guess I'll do that for them. Hope that's alright!
Ckey: Sha.SCT
Character Name: Claudia Calvus
Note: Joined as prospectors and kept a albiet slightly LRP player out of working as a prospector, finding reasons to fight him and engaging first. Not bringing him along for prospecting, and killing him for touching a trashcart, and dragging his body to firing range and gibbing him with a plasma gun.
Action(s) taken: 1 Week until appealable prospector job ban.
Appeal: Alright, here we go again. While I'll argue that I was never LRP, I understand that I spurred on the actions of the people who did all the bad things, which would have been gibbing Jeremy (RIP GBNF), I never understood last time I appealed that this was an important factor, but now I understand it is, and it won't happen again. Many times I've defended Jeremy on many different characters, the only real reason I encouraged the gibbing of him, was to say "hurry up", "get on with it", just a character thing. I made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement, and I don’t expect to be forgiven. I’m simply here to apologize. I'm ashamed of myself. I’m disappointed in myself. And I promise to be better. I will be better. Thank you.
Prospecting job ban appeal for Sha.SCT
Re: Prospecting job ban appeal for Sha.SCT
Ahoy Retard!
Been a bit of a while for someone to respond to this huh, anyway you've spent quite the time out of the ring, for a incident quite a while ago. But this shows the reason why we do appealable things rather than time expiring. The point of the time off is to play other roles and realize how they interact with yours, and think about actions that can be handled better on a daily basis, along with of course the straight punishment action of not being able to play a desired role.
That being said the appeal part is where we gauge if you have learned from the time spent off. The main issue with this case, is we had a group of people that were known to buddy up, which is fine, but to go violent on someone, to the point of breaking a core rule of the game, when one of those people has been banned in the past for breaking that rule. Very quickly means the message isnt coming across to everyone. So the pressure had to be ramped up.
So for a quick recap, the LRP claims come more from the fact that, the colony wouldnt exactly consider you sane anymore for dragging a dead guy to a firing range and blows up his body. (Then again I doubt half of prospectors would pass psyc evals.) In a realistic sense, something had to be done. More over, the issue is exasperated by the fact that not only ICly is this very wrong. But OOCly it is straight up against the rules, covered in the antagonist section. Be it gibbing them, or hiding their body in a wall with no sensors. Even antags are warned, do not remove someone from the round in a permanent way.
Anyway with this all handled, its time to get back in the ring, this is of course accepted. Bit later then the rest huh? In any case hope you have learned some stuff in your time off from the role but still managed to have fun. Contact any admin in round and point them to this to get it lifted. We cant lift job bans without the ckey actively connected to the server unlike normal bans.
