Discord Username: Rebel0#3677
Ckey: Rebel0
Time Zone: EST (GMT -5)
Position applied for: Dev-Mod (Since we have the role, might as well use it.)
Relevant Administration Experience (if applicable): I admined on here for a good few months before the discord was nuked - thus my reason for resigning from the position back then. Admined and eventually head-admined on Hestia from roughly November of 2019 to July of 2020, senior-admin on Vesta Sep 2020-Feb 2021, still a mentor on Desert Rose. Plus - I'm a dev-staff currently.
Qualifications: Knowledge on most administration tools, history of moderation and admining since 2019 on-and-off, knowledge of basic coding and spriting. (Forklift certified)
Why do you wish to be a staff member?: I already am - but the reason for the application to Dev-Mod is a severe lack of moderation staff that are active. Tickets commonly have to be answered by Dev-Staff as well as fixing issues, of which mods have either not known how to or are unwilling to. I do not feel dev-staff, who are only dev-staff, should be expected or have to answer these tickets. Thus I'm applying to ease the load of them and be able to answer them in good conscious rather than feeling like I am over-stepping into authority that I should possibly not take considering my current position.
What are your principles regarding the job you apply for, and the players in the community you are volunteering to serve?: Besides the current ones that the dev-staff currently have -
1. Uphold server rules and staff rulings in accordance with what is written as well as what is within the spirit of the server.
2. Provide positive player experience, be it through events, handling issues or the like.
3. Attempt to understand the issue at hand. Be it a misunderstanding of the player, purposeful maliciousness, or possibly a non-issue due to a miscommunication. One should always attempt to understand a situation before attempting any solution to it.

Note: This is already in the application station channel in the discord a few days ago but apparently we don't use that so - it's reposted here. Roast me, I guess.
Re: Rebel0 - Dev-Moderator Application
Hello. I'm going to give my two cents on this, but it by no means is a direct approval or denial. I will not be handling that on my own.
However, it's been clear that you've made an obvious effort to improve since the last time you were staff, and I do appreciate that. However, I do not feel confident giving you my vote of confidence for moderation -- because there is still a long way to go. We all get heated, though. And I myself am guilty of it, and saying things I don't exactly mean to people because my irritation gets the best of me -- It's a habit that I work on, too.
But I cannot endorse your application due to this, even with the staff shortage that we have presently.

Re: Rebel0 - Dev-Moderator Application
If I may offer a rebuttal to this.
I would like if staff take my time as an admin into consideration. I never received any feedback during that time of improperly handling tickets, appeals, or engaging with players. I am unaware of my previous staff issues in this case or I do not believe any were actually voiced to me for feedback to improve my previous time as administration staff. Any of my issues that have been levied has been my time as a dev-staff member; which is a reason for critique. As due to a bunch of factors, I was quick to anger and act for lack of a better word dickish due to various issues I personally had. Which does not justify my actions. As an admin, however, I never received any of these complaints. Mostly in that I was attempting to be the change I wished to see at this time. Something I wish to do now, including the reason for my change in behavior. Be the change you wish to see.
Furthermore - I do not quite understand this if I am already having to handle your moderators tickets, and players on server are DMing me thinking I am a moderator or admin due to advising on issues and handling tickets. Including tickets moderators do not know how to handle nor wish to handle.
I can understand the critique, and I believe mentioning a flaw is very valid. However, I do feel it is hypocritical to vouch for others who show the same flaw but vouch for them yet feel uncomfortable in my application. Especially considering recent issues.
Re: Rebel0 - Dev-Moderator Application
God forbid that this took so fucking long to get around to. Now that I can actually do this by asking the other headmins, it's been (minutely) discussed.
As I said before there's still concerns and a bit of hesitancy from some of us in regards to you, but so long as it's an upwards trend of improvement I don't think it'll matter.
Approved.
